Google Co-Founder Sergey Brin Visits DeepStation
In March 2026, Google co-founder Sergey Brin made a surprise appearance at the Google & DeepStation Hackathon in Miami — his first engagement at a local tech community event since relocating to South Florida.
The two-day hackathon brought together over 200 AI professionals and students from Miami Dade College and local universities, with 50+ teams building agentic AI solutions for community and public good using Google ADK and Gemini API.
Sergey engaged directly with participants, fielding questions on the future of AI agents, world models, and the Miami tech scene. His verdict on the city's energy was clear: “I see similar things in the Bay Area, and nothing like this level of enthusiasm.”
Powered by Miami Dade College, The LAB Miami, and OutRival, the event marks an inflection point for Miami's growing AI ecosystem — and DeepStation's role at its center.
